Lee/Michor's Story

Life Michor and Lee married at 20 in our senior year of college. He was ROTC at UW and our two year tour turned into 30 years of Army life and travel. Lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Europe and have set foot in every state in the continental USA. Didn't know how much we loved traveling until we did it...a great life. We have been married for 40 years in September. Have two grown children and 4 grandchildren here in Washinton State. We get to see them at least monthly - which since they left home for college in 1989 and never moved back in, is one of the best parts about retiring from the service Lee spent her 30 "Army" years as a child development educator for the Army's child care system and as a parent effectiveness trainer. Additionally as an Army wife she's been through several separations for training or war deployments, as well as doing the jobs that helped her husband be a good commander of troops. l over the United States and now Canada. She is teaching a few parenting type classes and seminars at Fort Lewis. Michor works for a company that contracts with the Army and employes a large percentage of disabled adults and/or veterans. Welive on a small farm in Olympia. His Mom lived with us until her death in 2005. His sister (70) still lives with us. From them we have learned that getting old is not for the weak or faint of heart! We raise a few beef, a few pheasants a few chickens and a big garden. We are enjoying staying in one place. We both love to fish and be on the water in general, so we have a small boat for the Sound. We get out to Clearwater to get hay for our cows and visit about every other month. Lee is always looking for a chance to go dancing andf Michor is always looking for a chance to hunt.... We were never in the USA when a Sammamish High School Reunion was going on, but we have hit two Lake Quinalt reunions...
