Leeni's Story
I am a retired high school administrator. I married a naval aviator in 1966 and have been married to him ever since. He later flew for TWA and American and is also now retired and working as a realtor. We have spent most of our lives in the central valley of California.
We have one son, Scott, who has given us 3 beautiful grandsons. Their pictures are posted - they are awful cute. Scott is a West Point graduate - we're just a little proud - and is now a Lt. Col stationed at Ft. Carson, CO. He married a JAG attorney (yep, just like the TV show.)
i spent many years as a high school counselor and dean and then helped open a high school in a small rural community that had never had a high school before.. I was their first assistnat principal. Opeming that school and taking care of those kids is one of the highlights of my life. eve.
I retired in 2008 as the Director of Pupil Services, and now am a contract trainer for Eagle Software. I travel all over the state of California, training educators in the use of student information software.
One of the great joys of my life is theater work.. I have been involved with the Kings Players of Hanford and the Visalia Community Players for nearly 30 years. I have worked in many capacities - actor, director, stage manager, set design, sound design, lighting technician, board member, and awards chairperson. I will direct 2 shows next year - an updated version of Our Town and a musical called A Taffeta Wedding. I will perform in one - A Coupla White Chicks Talking. One day I hope to direct Jesus Christ Superstar if I can put together a design team who can pull it off - and find the voices.
I also started taking piano lessons a few years ago, and keep hoping I'll play a concert some day - but that's waaaaaaaaay in the future.
