Life
Gee, what can I say that is short and sweet? Been very blessed.
Moved to San Diego three days after graduating from PSU. Burned my boots and swore I would never, ever live in snow again. Spent several years living at the beach, Southern California lifestyle before the traffic and my career got the better of me and accepted a transfer back to Michigan in late 80's. Still a die hard Nittany Lion, go Joe-Pa, fly my flag on football weekends.
Have three (almost always) wonderful children. Oldest has done the burn the boots thing and is now in Boca Raton, following the footsteps of her mom. Son is 13, going on 16, and youngest, my Madeline, is 10. Sweetest things, light of my life.
Been twice married and divorced, I lost it twenty-five years ago but remember that Talbot yearbook prediction, think it said I'd be happily married again and again and again. Have had a long and rewarding career in the health care arena, spent last six years as a management consultant working with federal programs and implementing managed care at the State level.
No real ties in Pittsburgh any longer, Grandma Lucille passed away at 97 yrs. last fall. Mother has moved to Dallas to be near Jen and is in the final stages of Alzheimers. Jennifer's son Sam is a Senior at Wabash this year just having finished his Junior year at Oxford. Brother David is living in Winston Salem and has three boys, Daniel, Jake and Matthew. Julie is living in Eagle, Co, just outside of Vail. Her son Dee has moved back to Orlando.
I am still the same old Leigh, I do work hard, but really just wanna have fun. My mom says I am the one "who never grew up" who refuses to change! Always happy, always the clown!
Have never made it back for a reunion, would love an email update on any of you! I swear I will make the next one, come rain or shine. Hope to see you then.
