Leland Grooms:  

Life An interesting bio for someone many consider "the class clown". I attended Southwestern College from 1985-1986 in Winfield, KS and then Joined the U.S. Navy in 1987. I was on active duty for five years and spent some quality time in the Middle East in 1989-91. I was discharged in 1992, finished my BS degree at SW Missouri State University in 1993 and attended Grad school there until 1994. I have been employed at the Unites State Environmental Protection Agency since 1994 as an Environmental Scientist with a focus on air pollution. I finished Graduate school at the University of Kansas from 1994-1997 in the Environmental Engineering program. I was commissioned an environmental science officer in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1997 and currently hold the rank of Lieutenant Colonel , my missions have ranged from Central America Medical Support Missions to supporting the 82cd Airborne down at Fort Polk, LA for jungle training. I was deployed on January 2003 to Fort McCoy, WI for 18 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as an instructor.
