Lenore's Story
After graduating from Lakeview I went to UCF (BA), FSU (MLS), and Old Dominion University (MFA). I worked as a public and special librarian in Florida (Florida State Hospital, Department of Commerce, Jacksonville Public Libraries) but became a full time writer when I married again and moved to Virginia. My husband is novelist David Poyer. Our daughter Naia is 32, a graduate of Swarthmore College and Harvard University (working there as undergraduate program coordinator in East Asian Studies, and also as a cover designer for McMillan Books, NYC. nguin Group, Dutton, St. Martin's Press, and Northampton House Press since 1992, and am series editor of THE NIGHT BAZAAR fantastic fiction anthologies. I taught for 16 years at Wilkes University in the MFA Creative Writing Program, in Pennsylvania, as did David. I'm still faculty at the Ossabaw Island Writers Retreat near Savannah. We live in a Victorian-era farmhouse on a tidal creek just off the Chesapeake Bay, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. My Facebook pages are LENORE HART and also LENORE HART AUTHOR.
