I am currently living in Bowie, Maryland which is located 15 minutes from Annapolis and about 20 minutes from Washington DC. When I left Maine I moved, with my husband, to San Diego where we lived for 3 years. Then we were transferred to the island of Guam. This was during the Vietman war. My husband flew air reconnaissance over Vietnam for the next 3 years. I saw a lot and learned a lot while living there and I have a special spot in my heart for our Vietnam Vets. We then left Guam for an assignment in Brooklyn, NY. Big culture shock! We spent a year in New York City, then transferred to Suitland , Maryland. Here in Maryland my marriage broke up and I was left with nothing - not even a car. So I started working at a bank, then for some car dealerships and finally became an accountant. Through the years I managed to steadily increase my income until i was able to buy my first new car and eventually my townhouse. There were a lot of bumps in the road as I'm sure all of you have experienced and I'm certainly not that girl I was in high school! Thankfully!
