Leo's Story
Life
After graduation I joined the USAF and moved out of Durham. I've lived in Italy, Germany,Texas, New Mexico, and D.C./Maryland. I left the military in 1995 to go to work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, I left the BOP in April of 2001 and now I work for the US Department of Homeland Security as a Special Agent. I am married and have two boys. I live in the ATL area and I'm assigned to a Financial Crimes Unit. I LOVE my job.
I think about the people I went to school with and the people I served with in the military, and a few others every now and then. I hope most of you are doing well, the rest,well... I also think of those from TIGER BEACH. We went as stangers and returned as brothers. I miss them all, especially one special medic. Miss you DD.
Workplace
From the Military to working for the Fed. Prison, to working as a Special Agent. I have seen the world and parts of the NJ/NY area I never wanted to. I've gone from babysitting the druglords to blowing their doors off the ...Expand for more
hinges and arresting them. Some of the best times I've had involved stacking up outside a badguys door, ram in hand, knock..knock! The Bronx can be a really fun place. Sort of like Six Flags, the rides are a lot better though!
Military
Basic sucked...games. Lived in Texas, New Jersey, Italy, Germany, "The Middle East", New Mexico, Italy again, and Maryland. Don't like "ringknockers", liked putting them in the mud however. NEVER confuse your rank with the authority of the man with the rifle! Last stop was with the "Presidential" unit. Figures...It was during the "Klinton" administration. Nothing like being loathed by the people you are suposed to protect! Made friends for life, learned to speak Italian and I still to this day. Met some people that should have been aborted around the 1st trimester too! When it was time to go..I did. Joined the reserves later, wasn't bad, made some cash, had some fun, met an ass (B.N.) or two. Honorable discharge in 2005. I will always bleed AF blue.
