Leola's Story

Well, where do I begin? My memories of YHS are very positive. I was there all four years, and had many talented, funny, creative friends. Some of them became lifelong good friends. A few of the memorable times include holding snakes in Mr. Annabel's biology class, creating explosions in Mr. Curtis' chem lab, hanging out under the big tree during free mods (we had 21, right?), meeting up with friends in the student lounge, participating in student government, cheering at home games, traveling to away games, going to beer gardens on top of Tachi department stores, spending the day in Shinjuku, eating ramen, dancing, homecoming and sadie hawkins dances, going to obon festivals, watching sumo on TV, and doing any after-school activity with Irene. ...Expand for more
There's so much I just don't remember, and a lot more which I won't share! I continued my education in CA and have been here ever since. I got a BA from Cal Berkeley in 1975 and a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1978. I also got married to Bob, passed the Bar Exam and became licensed to practice in 1978. I was a civil litigator until I became inactive about 10 years ago. I have two young adult children; one a lawyer and the other an actor. I now do community work with foster kids, and sit on a few boards. My interests include genealogy, philanthropic services, theatre, social justice causes, and children's rights. This is more than I've shared in a long time. I don't know what got into me! I hope to read your story now.
