Leona's Story

After graduating from Eli Whitney Vocational High School, I went to Borough of Manhattan Community College and worked as a legal secretary in downtown Manhattan until 1972 when I moved to Los Angeles and continued my career in the law. Some years later, I decided to go to law school and in 1988 began working for Los Angeles County representing the Department of Children and Family Services in dependency court for abused and neglected children. ave lived in the Pacific Northwest since then. He continued his trial work, also in dependency court, in Seattle and I worked for him. We retired in 2013 and now spend a lot of our time cruising and dancing. I'm helping my grammar school, St. Stanislaus Kostka, to organize a reunion for all '60s graduates for February 13-15, 2015.
