Leonard Atkins:  

Life BIOGRAPHY OF MASTER SERGEANT ATKINS Master sergeant Atkins was born July 16, 1960 in Farmington Hills Michigan where he attended and graduated from North Farmington high school on June, 1978. In January of 1979 master sergeant Atkins joined the Marine Corps and reported to 3rd Battalion San Diego California, and in April, moved onto his MOS Training at the Infantry Training School, Camp Pendleton California. Upon Completion of his MOS training as a 0331 Machine Gunner master sergeant reported for duty at Marine Barracks Sand Diego California from June 1979 through July 1980. In July 1980 through October 1989 had severed with Lima and Weapons Company 3/5 Camp Pendleton California. Upon completion of his duties with 3/5 master sergeant Atkins was assign too School of Infantry for the Development of the Marine Combat Training Battalion from November 1989 to November 1990. Master sergeant Atkins was then assign as platoon sergeant for Weapons Company 2/5 from November 1990 to October 1995. Master sergeant Atkins was then again transferred in October 1995 and reported to Parris Island, South Carolina for the Development of Marine Combat Training Company for Female Marine and, the development of the new recruit program known as the Crucible Training program. His service there included billets as a company gunnery sergeant, chief instructor for Weapon Training Battalion.
