Life Many times I think back to the days when I was at LCHS. The fellow students that I knew there as well as the Teachers who taught me the things that I use now like Algebra and Trigonometry as well as drafting which I learned from Coach Allen. I can remember Coach Allen always chewing his tobacco so the class got him a Spittoon. As far as occupation goes, it all started for me back in May 1977 when I went to work for the New Mexico State Highway Department in Albuquerque. I was hired on as a Term Aide I which was suppose to be a temporary position as a survey rodman. My job was only suppose to last for the length of the project. We worked on Gibson Blvd along the Airport in Albuquerque. Just as the project was coming to an end, I was permanently hired on with the NMSHD as an Aide II. I was sent to a State wide Survey crew where we worked in Carlsbad, Alamogordo, Carrizozo, Moriarty, La Bajara Hill, Farmington and then Gallup. But then in 1980 the Highw...Expand for more
