Leonard Dumire:

CLASS OF 1978
Tecumseh, MI

Leonard's Story

Life I watch "That 70s Show" and think about how much it reminds me of people in our class. I would have been Eric (skinny little punk - without the hot redhead!), yet I looked like Hyde. Tried sports - esp. baseball - still my favorite. I stunk. Sang in the choir and have actually been able to make some decent money doing that at times. Was in the FFA (with Papa Burns), and now I live inside the city limits of a town in Texas of about 110,000 (Midland - yes where George W. is from). Worked at the McDonalds after graduation and in the summers and school breaks until a moved here in 1982. I come back to visit my mom every couple of years in Tecumseh (she worked a Lev's Bakery for years). Have not kept up with anybody since highschool. Just wondering if we all look as 'foxy' as we did thirty years ago. (OF COURSE WE DO!!!!) I am hoping to maybe renew some old acquatances. I am happily married now for 23 years and have 3 kids - two who are older...Expand for more
than we were then. I recognized a number of names so someone give me a shout - I'll be glad to respond. Hope things are well with each one. School I really did enjoy THS, but I don't think I took advantage (positively) of the people who were my friends there. Usually spent too much time trying to be someone that I wasn't. My favorite teachers were probably Mr. Curth, Coach Young, and "Willie" Raeburn. One of my best early memories of THS was in either my Frosh. or Soph. year. My choir did this big "Roaring 20s" Musical productions at the old Credit Union hall - 3 straight nights. What a crazy party after the closing night. Glad I don't do that anymore. One of the other great things was once we were Seniors, everybody in the class was cool - it didn't seem to matter that you had fought and cussed at this person for three straight years in high school - you were a Senior now. Anyway, hope to hear from and/or read some of yall's memories soon.
