Leroy's Story
After driving truck over the road for almost forty years I retired. Well almost at least I retired from truck driving. After sitting home almost three weeks I looked at my wife and told her I had to find at least a part time job. So I went to the unemployment office to see what kind of part time jobs they had available. They put me on a computer with job listings, while searching the computer I found a couple of local part time driving jobs driving delivery vans. k release, or community service. After doing this for about three to four months a position opened inside for a part time Resident Supervisor (Correction Officer), I applied for the position and was given it. After starting with my new job I then enrolled in an online college where at the present time I am ten credit hours away from receiving my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Which seamed strange being out of school for almost fifty years and going back to school. I do not know what I am going to do with my new education except have the pleasure of acheving something besides a High School Diploma.
