Life Hi Old Friends Just a update on me and as a surprise to many -- I'm still kicking. (that is of Oct 2013) I graduated from OHS in 1962 and the years I spent and the friends I made in Oakridge I still cherish the most in my memories. Thank You all for those memories. After graduating and knowing the Vietnam conflict wasn't getting any better and I didn't want to get drafted I decided I better join at my terms instead of Uncle Sam's. I join the Air Force and after obtaining a Top Secret Clearance I was selected to go in Nuclear Missiles. I did my first phase of training in Denver, Co and the second part at Cape Canaveral ( where I was when Pres Kennedy was assassinated). I spent 22 months on the rock (Okinawa) of my 4 year term. Getting out in 1967 working a short period of time for McDonald Douglas Aircraft I went back to school. I landed a job with the Southern Pacific R/R and became a engineer with them for 27 years. I had to take a early retirement because of sever hearing loss in 1993. I had a 45ft boat in San Diego so lived and c...Expand for more
