Les's Story

After a stint as a field medic in the army I went to AACC as a professional student and tried to make myself grow up a little. Married in 72, three children, moved to the Easten Shore in 76, earned my BS Degrre in Industrial Technology, divorced in 93 and remarried in 2000. Worked my way through management ranks to become an Operations Manager in a manufacturing facility. In the process I was not the nicest guy earning my way to the top. When the economy went South so did my job. Am now the Maintenance Director for Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge (nursing home) where every day I have an opportunity to give back for some of the not so nice stuff I did acheiving that OP Manager position. I truly enjoy giving back. I am running for a political office in November...County Commissioner...should be exciting since I am still not a yes man. Oh yeah...I am a Republican or borderline TEA Party person. I am active in the REpublica...Expand for more
n CEntral Committee in DOrchester County. When I have time I fish and crab throughout the summer and travel in the winter. Just got back from Hawaii...too expensive and every November go to Saint Marteen. Just bought my first toy that doesn't float. I am putting a 1973 corvette together which should be done in mid May. OK, the corvette is done, runs and looks great. I lost in my primary election by six (6) votes. I plan on running again because after studing the results of the voting precincts, I know where I need to spend more time. More importantly, I know where I went wrong. Had a great crabbing season and am now rock fishing a couple of days a week with above average success. I am deep into Facebook (Les Simering) and play with it regularily now. I have posted some great vacation pix. There are also some great pix of my grand daughter who is trained as well as any experienced waterman could be. She pop pop's favorite.
