Lesa's Story
I have lived in Alaska for the past 12 years, but potentially may be moving back to Shreveport next year.
I have a 20 year-old son, Jay - who is (if I say so myself) amazingly bright and is in college making straight A's.
I didn't even get straight A's at Huntington. I still have family in Shreveport, and have started visiting as often as possible - it's expensive and a tough flight! I don't live in an igloo, but live near the site of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound. There are plenty of eskimos, but they prefer...Expand for more
to be called natives. I live at the southern most point of the Alyeska oil pipeline in Valdez, which is about 4,000 people (depends on the season).
I volunteer as a Mock Trial coach for the high school (which is like a debate team using legal procedures and arguments) and our team has done very well the past few years. Just can't seem to get away from high school !
