Winter of 1961 my family moved to Oak Grove Missouri but I commuted back to finish High School at Wm. Chrisman. I already had more course credits than they offered total in Oak Grove. Fall of 1962 I enrolled in what was then Central Missouri State College and attended the extension located behind the Truman Library. I attended college there for another 1 1/2 years to 2 years before switching to the Warrensburg Mo. campus. I was majoring in fine art and planning to become an art teacher. I commuted between Warrensburg and Oak Grove for a couple years and worked part time in Odessa, Mo. I also had a part tiem job in the College's art gallery. I've always been a "motorhead" and my younger brother and I did some hot rodding and traveling around the state of Missouri and Kansas to verious events. 'Made good grades in art school but 5 of the best students decided to dodge Mr. Ellis' 200 question final exam in our senior year and switched our majors to commercial art.
