Lesley Anne's Story
I hail from Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, and am happily married to a wonderful man and fellow Pennsylvanian (whom I met at the American Legion Post 12, Astoria, Oregon). No one has ever been as kind and loving to me as he has. I am very thankful that out of all the women in the world, he picked me! (Of course, he didn't meet all the other women in the world, and praise God for that!)
We have six children - five boys and one daughter, ranging in ages from 28 - 46. We also have four grandchildren - two boys and two girls, and another grandson on the way in June 2016.
I attended Pennsylvania Avenue Elementary School (Prospect Park, PA), Green Tree Elementary School Paoli, PA), Francis Parker/P.S. #23 (Rochester, NY), Martha Brown Junior High (Fairport, NY), and Cocoa Beach High School (Florida).
Some of my interests and favorites include: Reading (classics and books that relate to Catholicism and culture), writing, textile arts, travel, and cooking. I love the 49ers (lived in San Francisco for eight years), Eagles, and Steelers, and am a fan of the Boston Celtics ...Expand for more
and Red Sox, and Phillies. I love the violin and saxophone, Mozart, Gotan Project, Thievery Corporation and Tupac. My favorite books include, Orthodoxy (G.K. Chesterton), Essays of a Catholic (Hilaire Belloc), The Scarlett Letter, Les Miserables, and The Count of Monte Cristo. My favorite movies include the Wizard of Oz, Ryan's Daughter, Bagdad Cafe, and the dark comedy, After Hours. When we watch television, we view Vikings, The Black List, and the Goldbergs.
I am what I would call a compassionate and tolerant traditionalist as opposed to being a compassionate and tolerant progressive, which basically means I'm more than willing to throw out the "bath water," but for heaven's sake (!), not the "baby." Chesterton writes, "Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about." Yes, I also believe "what our fathers have told us" and not the BS that is being peddled as truth and enlightenment in our society.
And, to anyone who has spent the time reading this, I say, "May God bless you with a wonderful day!"
