Irma's Story
When I left Holy Ghost I went to Tougaloo where I majored in history and worked on the newspaper, called Harambee, originally the Voice, I think. I thought I would have a career in journalism, landing a fellowship. I had a change of heart and went to grad school at At...Expand for more
lanta University instead. From there to Fisk where I taught for two years and then to grad school at the University of Michigan. After marriage and two kids I got my doctorate and have been a college professor for the last twenty five years. I live in New York City.
