Leslie's Story
I lived all over Florida until 1979 when I moved to Tennessee. It took 8 years to get back to Florida, but lived in Tampa for the next 15 years. I got into network management at GTE Data Services (now Verizon) in Tampa. Since you have to wait for someone to die to get ahead at the "Phone Company", I got into consulting in 2000 and moved to Atlanta.
After 6 years with two different consulting companies, I went to work for a software company headquarted in Les Ulis, France. I travel about 80-90 percent of the time, and so far have not got...Expand for more
ten tired of it. I am currently (May-June 09) in Melbourne, Australia working at a client location. I have another 3 weeks here and then will have a week or two in Atlanta to decompress.
I am still married, have 3 kids and 5 grandkids. My son works for a software company too, oddly enough. My two daughters are still in Tampa, one is a manager at a restaurant and the other works at Tampa General. The grandkids range from 13 down to 5 years old.
Update: 8/20/2009. Finished in Australia, about to leave for South Africa for a few weeks.
