Leslie's Story
Life
In September of 1990 I married my high school sweetheart and love of my life, Anthony Schiefer. In June of 1994 we began construction on a new home in the Lake Prince area of Suffolk. In July of 1995, after a year of hard work, we moved into our new home. We love living in the country. So far, we have one son, Nathan Anthony, born in August of 2005. We would like one more child but, it took nine years to get Nathan. So if he is our only child, thats just fine with us. He is truely a joy! We travel often. We have a travel trailer and enjoy visiting different places. We are very involved with our church. We spend a lot of quality time together as a family. We like to entertain at home and spend time on the weekends around the pool with friends and family. Anthony and Nathan enjoy riding ATV's and I love to scrapbook. Workplace
I started out working for Scott & Stringfellow Investment Corp. part-time while still in high school. After graduating, I was offered a full-time position. When the company merged in 1989, my dept. was moved to Richmond. As fate would have it, my dad started his own business, Chesapeake Machine Works, Inc. with a partner in 1987. In January of 1990, he bought is partner out and I came on board as his office manager. I have been there since then. It is truely a family affair. My dad, mom, husband, uncle and sister (at one time) are all employed at the company. My husband and I will probably take over the business when my dad retires. Currently, I work 3 days in the office and work from home remotely when I need to. I love having the extra time to spend with my son. I enjoy what I do and I enjoy working with my family.
