Leslie's Story
Life
Retired June 30th, 2003 after 34yrs with United Airlines in the Inflight Department. Retirement is great and look forward to spending some quality time with family and friends, traveling and staying healthy.
Workplace
I was fortunate to be hired by UAL as a Flight Attendant (stewardess back then) in 1968 out of Honolulu, HI where I was living after graduation from college. ision and flew Hawaii trips out of SFO. When UAL aquired PAN AM routes I then began flying Asian flights. The whole experience of flying was wonderful and the friends that were maide; everlasting. But alas all good things must come to an end and after several serious turbulence related accidents, I was forced to go to the ground as my body couldn't take the long flights any longer. Fortunately I remained in the In-flight division and was able to see all my wonderful flying partners almost everyday. Do I miss flying, you bet!
