More about Leslie:"After leaving Tomball High I went to college for a short time. then I had my son and decided to put it on hold. Four years later I got married, his name is Jeremy Howard, we were married for 4 years and decided to let our family grow, we got pregnant right away, but later we found out that it was an ectopic pregnancy I went through chemo-therapy for a while but about 2 mounths later my tube ruptured I bleed internally for 36 hours. Two years later I got pregnant again, this time we weren't exactly trying but it was wonderful news. everything was fine for the first 2 months, then I started having high blood pressure. e clock, it didn't work long enough, my liver ended up shutting down and the doctor said I was dying so they rushed me into the OR and my daughter was born about 30 minutes later. She was delivered at 24 weeks gestation weighing 1 pound 3.4 ounces and she was only 12 inches long when they stretched her out. At 2 months of age she was still smaller than all the dolls at the store. during her 4+ month stay in the hospital she had several complications. She had heart surgery, her intestines ruptured, she had a stroke, 2 brain bleeds, meningitis, along with several infections. she was on a ventilator too many times to count she almost died 3 times in the NICU. when she was released she ended up back in the hospital because of blood sugar level of 19, she almost died again, then another time she almost died from aspitation she ended up on complete life support. These have been some of the hardest days in my life, exspecially the last time having to leave her bedside so cause the doctors had to do more to try and save her but not knowing when I'd see her alive again. the only thing that has gotten me through all of these things has been the grace of GOD. We still have troubles to this day, but I thank GOD for everyday that I have her cause I could have lost her at anytime. I no longer take things for granted. God bless you all.".
