Life I married another SMHS gradutate, Harry Stewart (72). The first time that my sister, Gwen, met him she told me that I was going to marry him. My response was "No way, he's not my type!" I was very wrong! Harry is the sweetest, kindest and most patient man I have ever met. He has a very gentle, positive and optimistic nature. We have a very true love and deep relationship, in spite of his MS and my diabetes. I want you to know that after we had dated a few months, Harry told me not to get hooked on him because he was a "free spirit". I was not worried because I had a deep sense that he was the man God had intended for me to spend my life with. A couple of months later, he proposed. Harry depends completely on me now as he is fully disabled from the MS.We have been most happily married since 8-2-80. We have been most blessed by God. This is not the life that I had wished for, but it has been an even better one than I could have imagined. I think that as we go through life that we are molded into the people that we are meant to be. Harry and I know what true love means.
