then hang out by the pool with Bruce, and maybe go out to a cool dinner to end the day. There usually isn't time to fit it all in, but most days a little bit of a perfect day can happen. Another type of perfect day is one spent exploring a new place with Bruce--Oregon was one of the most amazing places I have ever seen, with rainforests just on the other side of the coastal highway from the Pacific Ocean. We didn't even make reservations that trip. We just drove until we found a neat town or motel on the cliffs, and stopped. There was only one hotel that had no vacancy the entire trip! Regarding how old friends remember me--I was so shy in high school, I'm not sure many people will remember me. I hope people remember me as friendly. I became a lot more gregarious later in college, and especially after I met Bruce. He always had lots of friends, and I was fortunate to 'inherit' them as mine, too. I feel like I am in the place I am suppose to be as an anesthetist at my hospital. The operating room crew is a great group, as well as the surgeons. I have a great time at work, and many of those people are friends we spend time with after work. I think my classmates will be surprised at how different I am now from the quiet girl in the honors classes that I was then.
