Life
Okay, forget the Q & A. Answers are too generic. Hi everyone. Since high school I've gotten a BFA (Bachelor's Fine Arts) in Sculpture from U of I Champaign-Urbana. I then went into the world with no plan and realized the only vocation that wanted me was retail. Hence, at the suggestion of my then girlfriend (now wife) I went back to school. An additional 2.5 years later and I've received my MA (Master's Arts) in Education. I also received my teacher's certificate and entered the job I swore I would never become. I'm currently in my third year teaching at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, IL. I'm teaching the kids Fundamentals of Art and Design (intro to art) and Computer Graphic Design (photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, etc...).
More importantly, I met my wife my freshman year at U of I. We dated on and off that year, then commit...Expand for more
ted to a long term relationship at the end of my sophomore year. Fast forward to July 2004 and we got married up here in the South Chicago suburbs. August 2005, my first son is born and I'm now a proud father. His name is Huxley Hunter McCulloch and his pictures are posted here. I say first son, because Kim is currently due with our second son in late July.
So I teach art, sponsor the literary magazine published by the high school showcasing student writing and art, and live the life I hoped for as a husband and father. We live in a small town north of Kankakee, but just south enough from the suburbs we actually feel autonomous from Chicago. In short, life is good and I'm looking forward to our 10 year reunion.
About that, anyone have a plan?
Been a pleasure, class of 98. Take care of yourselves. Remember once a Parisite, always a Parisite.
