Libby's Story

Life My husband of 29 years, Joey, and I have 2 sons, Adam (25), and Justin (23). Adam graduated from CSU in 2008 with his major in Business Management and then married Saretta in August. Justin is a junior at Georgia Southwestern State University with a major in History/Education and has had Carole as his girlfriend for over 5 years. God has richly blessed me!! I work with the Buena Vista/Marion County Chamber of Commerce as the Administrative Assistant and Secretary, as well. I received my diploma in Accounting from South Georgia Technical College. I am also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and have been for the past 15 years. We live on a beautiful farm in South Georgia, raising cattle and growing a few crops. ardening, raising cows, and just breathing the fresh air every day! Country life is the best!!!! Joey is also an agriculture teacher (for the past 29 years and hopes to retire soon), Georgia Young Farmer advisor, and an FFA Advisor. We are very active in the Georgia Young Farmer Association, FFA Alumni Association, as well as in our church and community. We hope to start our greenhouse business on our farm again after retirement. Doctors discovered that Joey has leukemia in late July of 2007. We started asking for prayer and ended up on so many prayer lists (AWESOME) all around the country (even outside the U.S.) Prayer is wonderful, GOD IS GREAT, and so are all our family, friends, neighbors, and everyone that prayed. The doctors have cleared him for now. (Great report - Oct. 2008) This could come back one day, but God only knows for sure. GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!!!!!!
