Lila's Story

After graduating from high school I went to Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City. My father Jack Greene died at an early age so I came back to LV where I got a fabulous secretarial job at NRDS (Nuclear Rocket Development Station) beyond the Nevada Test Site. l career path. I married my husband which took us to Minnesota where I worked for the 3M Company. After five years we then went to Salt Lake City, Utah. I retired as an Executive Secretary from the University of Utah at the young age of 50. Came back to Las Vegas. After 21 years of being married my husand left me a widow.
