Lily's Story
Life
All the rocky roads I've traveled and it all leads back here. I'm in good company!! My husband and I have been married for 38 years this year. We have a wonderful son who will be 37 in April and a most gracious daughter who will be 34 this May. They both have given us such Joys: grandchildren. Our son's son will be graduating this summer and going on to college and our daughter gave us a little girl who will be 2 this April. They are the Joys of our Life. My husband and I gave up the city life just last December, we still lived in the DePaul area and we just couldn't take all the congestion any more. We have settled in the woods up...Expand for more
in Wisconsin and listen to the birds sing and watch the grass grow. I worked at various jobs while the kids were little to help out with the holidays but was mostly a stay at home Mom, which I loved to be. Once they were grown, I worked in Sales for a greeting card company and then was the assistant to the founder of Factory Card Outlet stores. At present, we have 4 dogs, one cat and one parrot. We don't buy these creatures, we find them or someone gives them to us. My husband found the parrot. We even found a hampster. You know, parrots live a very long time. I tell my grandson, if he doesn't behave, he gets the parrot when we pass on.
