Lina's Story
Life
I'm still married with two grown and independent adult children. My son is in a doctoral program on educational leadership and my daughter is an English Language Arts teacher at a middle school. My husband is a school administrator and teaches at Palo Alto college. We have four dogs, a cat, and a peach-face love bird. We love nature. That's why we go camping with my children at state parks. College
I enjoyed the family-like atmosphere at Our Lady of the Lake University and the close friendships I developed. I juggled work and college completing a 145 hrs in 3 years while on the Dean's list. I immediately started teaching first graders in a poor school district, Edgewood, and truly enjoyed it. I've worked in several positions within the school system and at the state governance level.
