Linda's Story
I became a Grandmother on August 18, 2007, a perfect lad named Montana Vincent Ortega.
Then I got myself another perfecto grandson, Maximilian Joseph Ortega, on Sept 22, 2008!
And then the following year, I was blessed with a Cherubic Granddaughter, Eva Belen Ortega, born August 31, 2009.
Being a Grandparent is EVERYTHING it is cracked up to be - kinda caught me off guard with how powerful the love is, and with age, a deeper understanding and appreciation for their precious lives.
My grandson Montana, came up with a perfect title for me instead of grandmother, he calls me Voss, which has since morphed into Vossy & Boppy (since the new babies couldn't handle the V sound. We have no i...Expand for more
dea how or where or why he came up with that, but it is FAR superior to being called grandma or nana, in my opinion, so I am thrilled that he did that. He simply knew what he needed to do...I tell you the bond between us is magical.
Being a Vossy is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Update 3/26/19: Wow, since I entered that profile, I have two more grandchildren who are now ages 4, Santino (aka Tino or Bee) & age 6 as of yesterday (Eli, aka Pata or Pot)! Everyone is still thriving and super lovable and lovable. My oldest grandson, Montana (11 y/o) asked me what puberty is, and after I explained he said "well that sounds disgusting!" The things they say are simply priceless!
