Linda's Story
Two years at C.C.C, then an extra year and a half of working with the College Readiness Program. Moved to Cotati 1973, worked in an Apple Factory, with hopes toward Sonoma State. (Never got the scholarship letter, saying I'd been accepted to Humboldt State with scholarship...geez..thanks Mom..cryin' out loud...col)
Moved to LA 1974, worked with the
Stock & Bond traders in Beverly Hills, 10 years. Had fun shopping at lunchtime for the best clearance deals, and 'all you can eat' snack bars (which lasted two months) In those days you could have a drink, and go back to work! stoagies' hangin' out near the 'ticker tape'. (Cigars and ashtrays...)
Husband & I had 3 children, and owned Take Recording Studios in Burbank.
Moved to WA State in 1990, the rainy day state. Did a variety of music with blues, jazz, rock, country, pop, and gospel. Whatever makes the people dance and be happy. Check out on web lindabvocal.com Music is good for the soul!
My dad was quite a character, and active in A,A., beginning at age 73 until age 85, 12 years of sobriety! He always said 'Each to his own, but remember we're all going to meet our maker someday. Are ya ready?' And 'it's never too late'.
