Linda Bahnson:

CLASS OF 1968
Tucson, AZ

Linda's Story

Hi there! After graduating from Amphi in 1968, I went straight to U of A, working part-time as a secretary all the way through, then graduated with a BA in Elementary Education in 1972. I moved to Mesa where I taught K, 2nd and 3rd grades for 31 years. I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2004 with a Master of Divinity degree (after teaching full time, being a single mom, and going to Fuller for 11 and a half years!). I am currently serving as the Coordinator of Family Ministries at Chandler Presbyterian Church and love what I do. I was recently ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament and will be moving to Winslow, AZ in August to begin serving as their new pastor in September. his new ministry opportunity! I am also very active in the AZ Walk to Emmaus--a 3 day spiritual retreat that is the most meaningful retreat I've ever participated in! I have 2 beautiful grown daughters and a wonderful 4 year old grandson who is the love of my life. I was sad to hear that we lost Angie Wallace to breast cancer after a 24 year battle--I am a 12 and a half year survivor and hope that someday there will be a cure--before my daughters have to worry about it! I have been involved with the Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure and have supported the 3 day Walk as well. My mom and younger sister are also survivors. I would love to hear from any from the class of 1968 or anyone who might remember me from Amphi!! Go Panters!!
