Linda's Story
Hi everyone! Its been a long time - 45 years! I graduated from MB Smiley in 1963. I'm not very memorable and wasn't a part of the popular crowd. I married right out of high school, had two children and divorced 8-1/2 years later. I've been a secretary/ office manager/office administrator 40+/- years. I've furthered my education very little over these years and I am seriously thinking about going to college to earn an associate's degree. I am a twice international published poet and an artist (pencil sketching).
My daughter and her husband live in College Station where she is a medical transcription at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan. They have two grown sons. My son lives in Southwest Houston is divorced and has two grown sons (the oldest is married). I told my grandchildren I wanted to be a great grandmother by the time I was 60 and they've all missed it so I sit and wait and work and pray for gr...Expand for more
eat-grandchildren.
I live in Euless, TX (metroplex) between Dallas and Fort Worth. Moved here 5 years ago and I don't miss Houston at all. My husband works in Fort Worth and I work in North Dallas so we split the difference. My health is good except I'm allergic to every thing. I'm fortunate - no cancer, no heart attacks, no strokes, everything still original at least so far. My grandsons tell me I don't look like a grandmother. I think they mean I don't act like one.
I lost my very best friend, Jimmy Ezell, in 2005. He lived in Georgia and we reconnected via email and phone in 2002. His health was bad and deteriorating even then. Some of you might remember his brother Paul (also deceased). Paul graduated in 1961 and Jimmy in 1964. I have to say I miss him more every day. Maybe we only get one really special good friend for our lifetime.
Not much left to say. Stay safe and well and happy.
