Linda's Story
Four days after graduation, Bob Welch and I were married. We have a daughter, Courtenay. Bob and I were amicably divorced in 1971. He moved to Ohio, and Courtenay and I moved to NC to be near my parents. My career consists of all administrative jobs. I met my husband at the first job I had in Charlotte at an engineering firm. rucking division of The Charlotte Observer and 13 years as Judicial Assistant for the Superior Court Judges of Mecklenburg County. My husband died in 2016. I live in a 100+ year-old house in Charlotte with my dog, Sandy. My best friends are still Barbara Redding, Carol Palanjian, Carolyn Barford, Cheri Brill, Judy Orman, and Ed Bergey's widow, Peggy. I love to travel, and life has been good to me.
