Linda's Story
Who am I??!! Hmmm, interesting question. In high school I believe I had a reasonable circle of friends who lived on the fringes of high school activity. We went our own ways, did our own thing, and didn't get too caught up in high school politics. In fact, I knew many more college/vo-tech students than I did my own class of '71. After high school I traveled the western part of the country and worked when I needed money to move on. Came back home (to Mankato) for visits and recouping and basically drifted. single parent. Although I had significant relationships, I did not marry until I was 51 years of age.
With short forays away from my home town I moved to WI(of all places) after 50 years in Mankato. I never realized that living 8 hours away from my birthplace would and could bring such a huge culture shock!!
I entered an Advanced Standing MSW Program at Loyola University-Chicago in 2007, graduated September 2008 and am currently working as a crisis therapist with disaster survivors/victims... depending upon

Although life here is most days pretty OK I reside in WI because of my husband's career. If I had my druthers I'd either be back in MN or the Black Hills.
So what's your story??
