Linda's Story
Wow! This is a challenge. Forty-eight years in a few paragraphs. Long story - short - I have 3 children, 4 step-children and 16 grandkids, retired, happy and warm. My husband, Sid and I have been married for 25 years.
I lived most of my years after high school on Cape Cod.
After graduationl I worked at the USMC as a secretary for the head of special projects. I met and married my first husband, Al, when I was 21. I worked hard for the next 15 years raising 2 sons and a daughter. After a divorce, I had to go back to work to support myself and kids. ry, cold, damp, house bound weather and in April, my husband and I made the decision to start looking for "sunshine". It took us one trip to Hilton Head SC (Sun City) to fall in love with the good old south. We had a new house built on the 16th tee of one of the golf courses here and have been enjoying doing 'whatever' for the past 4+ years. My husband plays a lot of golf, I play (at) golf. We're busy, happy and have NO snow.
All the children still live in MA with the exception of my youngest son, Bob, who lives here and is a Sgt. with the Beaufort County police office.
I still head back to MA 3-4 times a year to see my Mom (yes, she is still with us) and kids. Would love to be able to organize something so we can get together and fill in the blanks. Would be excited to see all of you.
