Linda's Story

Hi fellow students- hope all is well with you . I have been doing a variety of things since leaving all of you-some good, some not so good. But all in all- I am married to a wonderful guy, have 3 beautiful kids- 1 of which is sick and in a nursing home but still very much here. I have a wonderful and very smart grand-daughter who is 6 and going on 35. I tell you this kid has been here before and doing quite well. I have been at the same job for about 40 years and am now thinking about retiring and do what I want to do. I have seen some of you and was glad to see so many still living and doing quite well. I will be 60 soon and hope to share this birthday with the lot of you at the birthday bash that is being planned. My dear friends stay focused and plan the rest of your life well because we don't have as long as you think and whatever you want or wanted to do now is the time to do it. Do not procrastinate. Make it happen and always try to help someone along your way. I was a very rebellious kid and learned a lot the hard way and one day I had kids depending on me- I woke up. I got it together and kept it together- some of you would say I got the full package. The house, the car and the dog. I love my life...Expand for more
and try to live it to the fullest. At this time Life does not owe me nothing. I owe it. AS for my favorite things: I like long walks in the park, quite storm music and great conversations. My favorite movie is GONE WITH THE WIND, favorite TV shows: CSI , The Have and Have Nots and Matlock. Also like documentaries- such as THE HOUSE IN WHICH WE LIVE- the story of blacks and drugs from the beginning. I love to entertain and host a lot of gatherings at my home -I have been told I am a great "HOSTESS. The year 2021- a good year since I am still here but a bad year for my family. I recently lost my youngest daughter to MS a very relentless illness. MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. People say we have to move on and that is true but sometimes it takes a minute to do that- I feel lost but am trying to move forward all the same. I hope a lot of you have now retired and attempting to have a good rest of your life. I would like to do more traveling and just hang with a few of you until our dying day. So, I say to all -stay safe, eat right and give GOD all the glory for your life- because -you only get one life, so live it to the fullest. Remember you have more days behind you than in front of you. Stay in touch .
