Linda's Story

Life Would you want to go back to school right now if you could. What if you were given a chance to go back to your Senior year. What would you change? What would you do exactly the same? Would you have married the same person? Would you have made the same career choice? What if you could go back and retain the knowledge that you have gained over the years? Wow. How many times did you hear your parents say "If I knew then what I know now"? Well, of course, that was back in the days when we knew more than they did. Remember that? Life certainly does have a way of spinning us into reality doesnt it? I can remember when having $30.00 made me feel like had money. Now $30.00 won't get you a 1/2 tank of gas. But back then gas was about .59 a gallon so I guess in reality, $30.00 WAS alot of money. And remember when our friends were the most important thing to us? If I couldnt talk to my friends...it was the END OF THE WORLD!!!! What I didnt know at the time was after a few years I'd never see those people again. But, that doesnt mean that I dont think of all of you often. Some of my best memories are ...Expand for more
of the crazy things that we did trying to prove who we were and what we meant to each other. Life is good now, but I cant help but think about how good I had it back then and didnt know it. Lets face it. All we really had to do was get up, go to school, pay attention, put forth some effort, show respect to our teachers and parents and get home before 11:00. It's hillarious to me how so many times we'd manage to screw that up. Our teen years were just a rehersal for adulthood. Hmmm. Well, If I could go back to my Senior year I KNOW that I'd definitely read more text book material instead of the notes passed in class, and I'm pretty sure that I would listen with BOTH ears when my parents shared their words of wisdom. Other than that I'd probably do everything pretty much the same. Oh yeah, but I'd be smarter about it because remember, I'd get to keep the knowledge that I have gained over the years. Here's to all of you. My wish for you is that your lives be filled with happiness and peace and your memories filled with love and laughter. Take care of yourself and loved ones and God Bless You.
