School I have been in Maine since 1974. I was married at that time. I have been divorced for many years. I have a daughter who is 25. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College of which I am very proud. I have been employed as a high school art teacher since 1974. My 85 year old mother now lives here in Maine also. She lives in an assisted care facility. I also have a cousin and his family who have been living in Maine for the past 7 years. I love this state for its natural beauty and the high integrity of its people. It almost sounds like I'm talking about a foreign country. Upon entering the Maine via the turnpike there is a large sign that says "Welcome to Maine, the way life should be". That about says it all. The only really, really big hole in my life is not having a significant other. It's been two years since my last relationship. I miss that masculine presence very much. My work as an art teacher is quite consuming. I teach a course called Integrated Arts. It is a combination of art, theater, music and dance. The curriculum gives an historical perspective of the arts through hands on activities. I love the subject matter but there is just way too much information to cover in one semester-yes, believe it or not this is just a one semester course. In many respects I am a work-a-holic. I think it is time to make some changes and to start having fun again. I am 54 years old now and going out to the singles scene does not appeal to me.
