Linda's Story
As Life Goes on!
Well I left Fremont right after high school and went to Chico State. I graduated in 1975 and stayed one more year to finish my teaching credential. I started teaching in Grass Valley , Ca in 1976 and was there for 2 years. I dealt cards at Harrah's in South Tahoe for 2 summers and weekends during the school year.
from there I moved to San Diego and taught 6th grade for a year and then moved back to the bay area. I was a long term sub in the Union City school district for 2 years and then quit teaching. I start...Expand for more
ed cocktailing and bartending in Castro Valley and was there for 3 years. I then moved on to San Francisco. In between during the Alameda County Fair I tended bar at the racetrack for about 10 years.
While in SF I met my husband and got married in 1992. I have 2 step-daughters who both have Ph.D.'s and are working in their fields.
I quite the bar business in 2000 and went back to teaching. I now teach middle school in Vallejo and live in Napa. I am finishing up a Master's in Literacy. My life is crazy but I have no complaints!
