Linda's Story
Life
Born in Pasadena, TX in 1968, I grew up in many states including Al, Fl, CO, NC, SC & PA. My favorite was Dothan, AL...I spent a carefree and happy childhood there. I attended Emmanuel Christian School from K-7th there.
We moved to Rifle Co from there and I went to 8th grade there.
Next to Fla. where I went to Berean Baptist Christian School in WPB, FL, where I first met my now husband of 17+ years :)
Then back to TX. We lived in Arlington for a few months and then to Bay City TX where I graduated in 1986 and met one of my life long friends Becky!
After graduating from HS in 1986 I took off a year to work and then matricualted in 1987 at Bob Jones Univeristy. I started out as a humanities major but switched to Elementary Education in my junior year. I made this decision after spending a spring semester at home to help take care of my dad. I teach in a Title I school in Durham NC and I am the proud mother of 4 puppies, 2 cats and a classroom fish.
School
I went through grade school in Dothan, AL at Emmanuel Christian School. I also attended school in Rifle,CO; West Palm Beach, FL; Arlington, TX (6 months); and Bay City, TX (where I graduated from high school in 1986)
College
Whew! Life at Bob Jones! It was an experience like no other and I am thankful I got to enjoy it! My freshman year was fun and a fellow freshie (Carrie Davis)and I had alot of fun. The next year I had terrific room mates but had to leave at mid-semester to help take care of my dad at home. I did come back to take 2 summer semesters (it was during this time I made a life decision I sincerely regretted) and then it was a change of major and off for my junior year. I graduated in 1991 and marched in 1992. I am actually using my college major today!
