Linda's Story
Life
I have been married to Bill Giles since August 14, 1977. We moved to Nevada in 1992 and opened up
our own business, a Chevrolet dealership.Then we opened 2 used car lots, one in Yerington and one in Fernley.We are currently living in a rural area with about 3500 people in
the immediate area. We have no children, however, we do have 2 big dogs and a cat. I am the business manager for the Chevrolet dealership.
8/31/14 Update
The dealership sold in 2007. Bill retired and I volunteered at the local ...Expand for more
animal shelter for 3+ years. I began working at the Yerington Paiute Tribe in the Finance department in 2011.
Bill died Wednesday August 27, 2014. He had been sick for probably 10-15 years, but he was not diagnosed until the end of May or beginning of June 2014. By then it was so advanced that there really wasn't anything to do.
I am working on what I am going to do now. I would like to leave where I'm working and work part time. Or, not work at all because I have plenty of things to keep me busy.
