Linda's Story
40 years in a nutshell...
Since I didn't go to the 40th reuninon, I joined this to reach out.
Now: Married - still happy after 35 years! No kids - kept putting it off until we decided we were too old - no regrets, we're happy. Have 2 adopted greyhounds (flunk-out racers). We live in the CO mountains at 9000 feet elevation in a house we designed and built ourselves - it's a passive solar house with solar electric panels and is built "green". y effficiency programs. We just decided to move to New Mexico - we're looking for land to build another dream home that we will design and build ourselves.
Past: Spent lots of years in college, first to get a degree in psychology from CSU, just after high school, then 10 years later at CU to get a Master's in Energy Engineering (a 180 degree shift!) Worked for 17 years at the CO Governor's Energy Office, developing and managing programs on energy efficiency. Retired with 30 years in state government (including a long stint at our local state park when I was trying to figure out what to do career-wise).
