After Shorecrest: I entered a business school and graduated from there in 1974. From there on I worked in accounting for various companies in the Seattle ¿ east side area. I was able to do a bit of traveling then and made my way to the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong and then again to Mexico. Drat, I did miss seeing the great wall of China for lack of an additional 3 days to get my visa. Who would have thunk! I had an opportunity to take a small vacation to Arizona in which I purchased my first horse, a 2 year old filly. Within 6 weeks I had quit my job , packed up my stuff and moved south. I stayed there for awhile working on a dude ranch and learning about the horse industry. During my adventure, I purchased another 2.5 year old gelding that was just under saddle so between the two of them I spent a bit of time in the saddle in the desert. With family health issues I came home to Washington although I was only able to bring one of my ponies with me. From this point I had to get back into mainstream employment and found a job working in the healthcare industry in accounting. Nice job, good people.
