Linda's Story

I am still "living the dream"(working) ha! I help train the Surgery Residents to be "real surgeons" etc. here at Methodist Hospital. I am now into my 25th year of this. Thank God I know who the good ones are! I was widowed very suddenly 15 years ago this November. My husband was on the Indpls Police Dept as a Narcotics Detective, Instructor, Dignitary Protection with the Secret Service. He was one great redhead, but then, redheads always are... We had two great sons...the oldest, Brian, played in the Little League World Series in Williamsport for the Southport Little League Team in 1984 when he had just turned 11...he was the starting shortstop and the team ended up 2nd in the U.S. and 3rd in the World Series. He went on to be all state in Baseball, and play at Xavier Univ. ...Expand for more
and Ball State Univ. then some pro ball for 2 years for the Anderson Lawmen of the Mid-America League. He now works at Coca Cola, is married, and has a four year old redheaded boy, Karter, who is precious to old Granny. The youngest son, Jason, was all state in football, played 4 years at defensive end at Miami of Ohio. He got his masters and is now the Offensive Coordinator for the Varsity Football Team at Ben Davis H.S. and Dept. Head for Health/P.E./ROTC. He is married and has a four year boy, Brady, and a two year old girl, Megan. They are also precious to Granny. The boys are now playing soccer!! I never thought I could handle watching soccer but they are really cute and competitive like their dads! I can't wait until my little wild granddaughter, Megan, gets to play.
