Linda's Story

Life The second year out of High School. I accepted a position for the largest Automotive Equip Dist. Co. in Palo Alto. I ran their Advertising and Catalog Dept. I then accepted a position for them in Caracas, Venezuela, stayed there for 2 1/2 year. Made a ton of money. Came back to Calif. moved to Long Beach and opened up my own business. (1971) Lived in Long Beach for 20 year. In 1977 I had my first marriage and had a son in 1978. Seperated 5 years later. Married a second time in 1987. Seperated and then divorced in 1995. 2000 tried marriage one more time which failed in 2002. That's it no more marriages. My business career has always been in the auto collision repair industry. I am very involved in my industry and very well connected and know nation wide. With all of the experience I have, that is why I do a lot of consulting. I am offered interesting contracts from time to time which seem to make history in my industry. I love life and people. I make friends easily. I love to entertain. I consider my friends to be one of the most important parts of my life and spend as much time as possible doing all kinds of fun and interesting adventures with them. I love to Golf. I love to travel. I have been around the world 3 times. I'm always going somewhere. Lately I have been spending more time in Northern Calif. which is kind of reminding me of my roots from growing up. I have the best relationship a Mother could have with her son. He has never given me one day's trouble. God has blessed me. He is intelligent and level headed. He is currently in Country Club management...Expand for more
. He has had the same girlfriend for 4 years. They both graduated USC, then she went on to NYU for another 3 years and just graduated. She is going the be a sports therapist Dr. for children. Now that we are all in our 50's my outlook on life is ever changing. I do not plan on retiring anytime soon, unless I win the lottery. Then I would travel and invest in real estate all over the world. Spend a lot of time on a brand new 75' Yacht with full crew. Probably live aboard most of the time. I would be very philenthropic to deserving causes. Anyone can dream, can't they? I would love to see my class of 1968 at a high school reunion very soon. Workplace I am currently working for Cox communications. They are in the top 10 cable,radio,&T.V. media. They are a 27 billion dollar co. I work for Manheim Certified Auto Body Repair. A division that is affiliated with Manheim Auto Auctions. We are opening Auto Body Collision center nations wide in some of our auto auction facilities. They also own Auto Trader.com, and Dent Wizzard. They love automotive companies. I am responsible for Insurance Industry relations. I also help out with auditing certain locations. This is a great job. I am traveling about 90% of the time right now. We have over 125 auction locations. We have close to 25 Body Shops open, which I am responsible for. I feel that this will be the last organization I work for, until I retire, because with my back ground and experience I will always be steadily employed by this organization. There is a lot of room for spiriling growth and continued monitary growth.
