Linda's Story
Thank's to Roosevelt High's stairwell & nurse. I am disabled. I had a bad fall going down the stairs at school in 1973. I flipped up & fell straight down on my spine. Wham. I remember laying on the stairs screaming in pain. The nurse on staff was a real loser, To save liability for the school...She called 2 senior boys to help me off the stair case & took me to the medical office to lay me down on the table. Then called my mother to pick me up from school. My mother sent my older brother to pick me up in his car. I barely could get up but I did & was home a few days from it. A Year later a polinidal cyst developed on my spine in which I had surgery & was in the Hospital 2 weeks from it. Fast forward 25 years..My legs felt weak & painful I went to the Doctor &...Expand for more
he asked did you ever have a fall? The nurse back at Roosevelt was such a dummy, She should have called an ambulance to have me checked out at the hospital. Now 12 years after seeing 1 Doctor after another I'm bedridden & on disability. I have Spinal stenosis, Chronic Lumbar Pollyradiculopathy & 4 degenerated disks in my spine due to osteoarthritis that developed through the years since the fall, Now is too late to get any compensation for it. I take about 3-4000 mg. daily of Vicodine. You see House on TV Well thats me, Cane & all. But in this crule joke of a life. I have one ray of sunshine is my only child Sarina. She is 15 now & a Honor roll student. I'm so proud of her. Now you Know! Any Good Lawyers out there that can find loopholes for the Time stature?
