Linda's Story
I came to Georgetown when I was 2 yrs. old 1951, lived at the entrance to the park for many years, then at 12 moved to Shelley St. I attended Chapel, Park & Wrigglesworth Public, then on to GDHS, where I spent most time with my best friend, Judy Prouse & boyfriend, Stan Kynnersley. In Grade 3 or 4, Mrs. Wrigglesworth discovered that I had a wonderful singing voice, so from then on, I sang in school choirs, church choirs, and did an Operetta in Grade 8 at Wrigglesworth Public. I absolutely love to share the beautiful voice that God has given me, it makes me feel very blessed. After graduating, I married Jim Nicholson, have 2 sons, Dave & Steve, who are 43 & 39 yrs.old & parted from Jim in 1988. After spending 40 years in Georgetown, 21 yrs. in Real Estate, I then moved to Wasaga Beach in 1992, following which in 1994 my Story is on the TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Chat Page at tbichat.org/stories/linda2.htm It's a...Expand for more
story of my car accident 'caused by a bad choice made by myself, in which I broke my neck, brain, pelvis, etc., spending 3 mths. in hospital, and have become a Survivor of Traumatic Brain Injury, which I have to deal with every day for the rest of my life. It's been a very long struggle, having to learn how to read, talk and walk again, and not having many normal abilities that I had before, but with God's help, I'll be the very Best That I Can Be! I am now typing the Sunday bulletin for Wasaga Beach United Church whenever I'm capable of doing so & I started the choir, enjoying every minute of singing that I can do-reading the correct words is always difficult for me, but I am just thankful to God for the ability he's given me, and for saving my life. I'd be very privileged to have you read my Story, and to hopefully learn from my mistake. Friends do not let friends drink & drive! God bless you and keep you safe!
