Linda works(ed) at Sonographer, Harrison Hospital/messenger House, Sonographer. One of Linda's favorite quotes is:"Live for today for we know not what tomorrow brings.". More about Linda:"A new chapter in my life as I move back home to Georgia. Disability is a big adjustment when I have worked for so many years. What to do with my time. Boredom is the first word that comes to mind. I am sure that I will adjust with time. Lovin' life one day at a time. Life has been good to me. I've had the opportunity to live in quite a few different places in the US. All bringing many memorable moments, with new lifetime friends found in each place. The medical field has made it possible for me to do a lot of things in life that I enjoy and I have had the opportunity to advance in the field and it has allowed me to experience so many different places in this wonderful country. I am living my dream now. I finally made Washington state my home. To me, this is God's country and there is no comparison to the beauty that surrounds me every day, the water, the mountains, the wildlife and all from the windows of my home. Every time I go and see new things I fall in love with this state more and...Expand for more
more. To me, this is what life is all about. I have a home with a view, only 1 block from the Pugent Sound with a view of Mount Ranier in the background and the community pier less than a 300 ft from my door. I drive to work everyday and I see the beautiful Olympic mountains. All I can say is, WOW! Life is Good! My life has had a bit of a turn and so I'm leaving my dream place and headed back home to Georgia in Sept. 2011 due to a disability. Oh well, life is full of changes and we learn to adapt and continue to live life to it's fullest. Family and long term friends sometimes have to tower over the gypsy in me and settle me down. Life won't be to tough on me as I enjoy the lake that my house there sits on and of course there will be fishing and boating year round and swimming or at least floating in the water all summer long. OMG! How will I adapt to 90 degrees, when I now think that 80 degrees is hot. Whew! I' sweating thinking about it. Where's the beer? God obviously has a plan for me and I am waiting to see what it is and where it will take me. Maybe I'm going to have that plant nursery now and sell my goods at the local farmer's market. Raised beds will help with the mobility issues and now that I know about worm tea and compost (love the "green" of WA) and of course sheep poo, my crops should be very productive on my new little 1/2 acre of heaven.".
